ASSIGNMENT: Community Resilience Post

Context: Use curated content to highlight the work of MCNW's Community Resilience program that focuses on disaster preparedness.

Process:

• Read article + pull out material for copy

• Write copy that shows connection between article + MCNW

• Proof + post

Great news: the U.S. Geological Survey is increasing funding for the PNW earthquake early warning network, ShakeAlert, by over $10 million. ---------------------------------------- The Pacific Northwest is long overdue for a subduction zone earthquake. Often overlooked is fact that when natural disasters stike, economic disparity dramatically widens. Our Community Resilience team focuses on preparing communities and businesses to be resilient in the face of environmental setbacks. Does your business have a plan for operating after an earthquake or other environmental setback?
